1. Who we are

This website is operated by Stripling's General Store, Inc. Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Stripling's General Store, Inc., and "you" means you, whether you are shopping, browsing or just reading.

We have been making whole hog country sausage in South Georgia since 1964. We run four stores, in Cordele on Highway 300, in Cordele on Highway 280, in Perry and in Bogart, and a USDA inspected processing facility in Moultrie.

2. Agreeing to these terms

By visiting our site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

These terms apply to everyone who uses the site, including browsers, customers and anyone contributing content.

You must be at least the age of majority in your state, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order.

3. Our products and how they are described

We do our best to show our products accurately. Colors, package sizes and label designs can look different on your screen than they do in your hand, and our suppliers change packaging from time to time.

Nutritional information and ingredient statements vary by product and are printed on every package label. If you need nutrition facts or ingredient information before placing an order, contact us and we'll be happy to provide the details for a specific product.

We may change or discontinue a product at any time, and some products are seasonal or made in small batches, so availability changes. We do not guarantee that any product will be available when you want it.

4. Prices and availability

Prices are shown in US dollars and can change at any time without notice. We may limit the quantity of any product, and we may refuse or cancel an order.

Mistakes happen. Sometimes a price, a description, an availability or a shipping charge on this site is wrong. If that happens, we reserve the right to correct it and to cancel or refuse an order placed at the wrong price, even after you have ordered. If we cancel an order after you have paid, we will refund you in full. We are not obliged to update pricing or availability information except as the law requires.

5. Orders and payment

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy, and your order is accepted when we confirm it and ship it. Once your product leaves our shipping dock, you will receive an email confirmation.

You agree to give us current, complete and accurate billing and account information, and to keep it up to date so we can complete your order and reach you if we need to.

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Sales tax is applied where the law requires it.

Your card is charged when you place your order, not when it ships. Perishable orders can ship a few days after they are placed, so the charge may appear before your box arrives.

6. Shipping, delivery and risk

Our full shipping terms, including our rates and our refrigerated shipping schedule, are in our Shipping Policy and form part of these terms.

The parts worth repeating here:

• To guarantee delivery, all shipments must be pre-paid with a complete and correct street address. Due to UPS regulations, Stripling's General Store cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes and ships within the continental United States only. APO/FPO addresses can receive non-perishable products only.
• With our standard delivery service, we generally ship the next business day, and orders arrive in 7 to 10 business days to most locations. This excludes refrigerated items.
• Sausage, stuffed pork chops, BBQ, bacon, Brunswick stew and steak ship Mondays through Wednesdays only. Orders placed Wednesday after 11 a.m. through the weekend ship the following Monday.
• Delivery dates are estimates. We use the most effective delivery services available to make sure your order arrives on time, but once a package is with the carrier we do not control its schedule.

Responsibility for your order passes to you when the carrier delivers it, not when it leaves our dock.

7. Perishable food

We sell fresh and smoked meats, cheese and other perishable foods. When you order them:

• You are responsible for giving us a shipping address where the package can be received, and for bringing it inside promptly. We cannot be responsible for a perishable shipment that sits outside after a successful delivery.
• Sausage, BBQ, bacon, Brunswick stew and steak should be refrigerated or frozen immediately upon receipt. These products arrive partially to fully thawed depending on shipping conditions, and we guarantee they will be cool to the touch.
• Perishable food cannot be returned or resold once it has left our control. If something arrives in a condition it should not be in, our Refund Policy explains how we put it right.
• Allergens and ingredients are printed on every package label. If you have an allergy, please read the label before eating, and call us before ordering if you need details in advance.

During extreme heat, severe weather or the holiday rush, we may hold a perishable shipment for the next safe shipping day, and we will let you know.

8. Wholesale and corporate orders

Wholesale accounts, private label orders and corporate gifting are arranged directly with us and are governed by the terms of that account, not by these terms.

9. Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.

We may refuse service, close an account, remove content or cancel an order at our discretion, particularly where we believe an order has been placed fraudulently.

10. What you may not do

Please do not use our site to do anything unlawful, to harass or abuse anyone, to submit false information, to send viruses or malicious code, to scrape or collect data from the site, to interfere with its security, or to impersonate someone else. We may end your access for any of these.

11. Reviews, comments and anything else you send us

If you send us a recipe, a photograph, a review, a suggestion or any other material, whether we asked for it or not, you agree that we may use, edit, copy and publish it without restriction and without owing you anything for it. We are not obliged to keep it confidential, to pay for it, or to respond to it.

You agree that what you send is your own, that it is not unlawful or abusive, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. We may remove content we consider objectionable, though we are not obliged to monitor it.

12. Our brand and our content

Everything on this site, including the Stripling's name and logo, "you never sausage a place", our product photography, our recipes as written, our text and our page designs, belongs to us or to the people we license it from, and it is protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may not copy, reproduce or use any of it commercially without our written permission. You are of course welcome to share a link, a product page or a photograph of your own dinner.

13. Other websites we link to

Our site may link to other sites we do not control, and other sites may link to ours. We are not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Complaints about a third party site belong with that third party.

14. Your privacy

Your use of this site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and what we do with it.

15. What we promise, and what we do not

We work hard to keep this site running and our information correct, but we provide the site "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free, or that everything on it is accurate or current.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Stripling's General Store, Inc., and our owners, employees and suppliers, are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from any product you buy from us, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under any law that cannot be waived, including any rights you have as a consumer regarding the safety of food you buy.

16. Indemnity

You agree to hold Stripling's General Store, Inc. harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your breach of these terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

17. If part of this does not hold

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest of the terms stay in force.

18. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Crisp County, Georgia.

19. Changes to these terms

You can review the most current version of these terms at any time on this page. We may update them, and by continuing to use the site after we do, you accept the changes.
